Mondy Pierre Auguste is a native of Petion-Ville, Haiti. Born in 1984, he started painting at the age of six (6) years old, while carefully watching his father Jean Pierre Auguste at work in his studio. Over the years, he has met many artists who have shared their knowledge with him. For instance, he learned the notions of anatomy, colors and drawing while studing at Promotions Artistes Yvon Pointu, SA, Ranbion Art Gallery and Workshop of the late Mrs. Carmel Delatour. Mondy is a graduate of the Institute of Business Adminstration. He also learned to speak English at the American Language Laboratory. His other studies the Principle of Peace in the World, Social Psychology from the Fédération Haïtienne des Associations et Institutions des Personnes Handicapées d’Haïti (FHAIPH), and he is an Ambassador of Peace. It must be noted that he had a dream to open Mondy Art Expo. His paintings are on exhibit in Haiti, Belgium, and United States. Currently, he teaches art, English, and manages a Psycho-social program at FHAIPH, which is financed by Project-Hope/USAID. In addition, in 2013, he founded OPHANIP (Organisation des Personnes Handicapées des Nippes).
